AWARDS
The organizing committee is pleased to inform you that a limited number of awards will be given by SPIE, OSA and EPS for a best student / young scientist paper presentation.
Candidates may apply for the awards when they upload their conference Abstracts. If they have more than one submission, students must choose only ONE paper for consideration.
Judging will be carried out by Program and Advisory Committees Members or Invited Lecturers during the event observing the following criteria:
- Scientific value and novelty of the presented results
- Motivation of the work
- Presentation skills of the candidate - structuring and lucidity of ideas
- Does the abstract at the beginning provide an adequate summary of the work performed, the results and conclusions?
- Are the conclusions sounds and justified by the results presented?
- Poster outlook
Organizers strongly recommend to young participants to take part in the best paper presentations' competition!

SPIE BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARDS
We are very pleased to announce that as a committed supporter of excellence in student research, our cooperating organization SPIE will support Best Student Paper Awards at ICSQE'2016. In addition to cash prizes, winners receive SPIE Digital Library downloads and complimentary SPIE Student Membership.
The awards are designed to encourage and acknowledge excellence in oral and poster student paper presentations.
The three very generous prizes for the SPIE Best Student Paper Awards are as follows:
- 1st Place - $US 250, 50 SPIE Digital Library Downloads, 1-year student membership
- 2nd Place - $US 150, 25 SPIE Digital Library Downloads, 1-year student membership
- 3rd Place - $US 100, 15 SPIE Digital Library Downloads, 1-year student membership
STUDENTS wishing to enter the SPIE student prize competition must declare their student candidature and must also give the presentation at the conference. Judging will be carried out by Program and Advisory Committees Members or Invited Lecturers during the event.
The winners will be announced and the awards will be given during the School.

OSA BEST YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD
The organizing committee is pleased to announce that a limited number of awards, called Best Young Scientist Awards, will be given by OSA (Optical Society).
The total amount of the OSA Best Young Scientist Awards is USD 600.
The awards are designed to encourage and acknowledge excellence in oral and poster young scientist paper presentations.
The winners will be announced and the awards will be given during the School.

The EPS will sponsor one EPS Poster Prize to a student who has presented the best poster at the conference.
Amount of the EPS Poster Prize is EUR 200.
The prize will be given to a PhD student (defined by student registration). The poster must be prepared by the student.
The winner will be announced and the award will be given during the School.
The winner will be invited for oral presentation of the selected poster in a special session of the school.
